Wound Dressing (Up)

Oops I did it again.... I speeded around a bit too much upset the senior dog and got chomped!

I is not bothered at all, the itty bitty (ok maybe quite big) hole in my side is healing ok and my leg hasn't falled off so I'm all good :-)  Unfortunately I has managed to pull out my staples that was supposed to be holding me together which made the humans a little bit anxious, don't they know that us Super Pups is indestructible!

It appears that it's pretty difficult to keep bandages on a wiggly lurcher pup, you should see how they tried at first, they got this horrible lamp shade thingy out and put it on my head.... hmmm how many bruises did I put on your shins for that disgraceful behaviour?

So FH decided to take drastic action!  She raided her wardrobe and is dressing me up in her image!  I wasn't sure at first.... I don't want no pink dressing up stuff!

OK so she actually chose something quite fitting.  I gots myself a blue muscle top to wear which covers all the relevant bits to keep them and the dressing clean.

I tested it out, could I play in it?  The answer was yes! Do I look good or what?

As an invalid pup I must try to milk sympathy as much as possible, look at my soulful eyes.... I know what will fix me.... more food!

Later pupeteers! I'm off to look pathetic and wounded at FH to see if it's dinner time yet!

  1. I think the blue top suits you Milo, perhaps you could add to this and create a Milo Range of Sports Gear! lol. On the other hand do you need it, I see your own coat is growing, you are changing by the day pup :)

    1. Loving the hugs! I have decided to steer clear of the 'senior' dog at work who is a little grumpy.... she is not that keen on naughty puppies apparently - oops! Next time I shall hide behind Murph!

  5. Dear sweet Milo, I fathom well your time at home with the cone on!. Hope all goes well with your healing wound, be patient, it is bothersome :-( From my experience with flying Salukis, other breeds do not catch well what all that flying, gazelle leaps and stamina is about and may snap. Hope your playdate friends behave well next time :-)

I love how tall and strong you became, adorable ear tufts you grew and a handsome beard. Those eyes can melt the toughest of cooks, so, what delicacy extraordinaire did you have for dinner?.

Oh, and one big question: do you bark?. Sighthounds normally do not, mine never ever, so I wondered.

Be well soon, Milo darling. Sending you many chin rubs and a magical invisible head cone ♥♥♥

    2. Dearest Carmen, you are too right, other dogs seem puzzled by my speedy play and leaps and bounds, I am so glad that my Murph was trained so well by my Great Uncle Indy.... apparently he has seen it all before.

My beard is becoming very luxurious and is the talk of the town, I was walking handsomely past some young children this week and they were debating why a dog needed a beard... I told them it's to store some of my lunch in for when I need a snack ;-) Speaking of snacks, I managed to persuade my Granny to give me rawhide chewy things and then I found a fallen apple - that was delicious too, apparently I'm not supposed to enjoy apples, the mules like them so I think I should too!

The BIG question.... I do bark! The terrier in me comes out sometimes, I yip and woof in pleasure, especially when I come home to Murph after a day at work, my voice is very much like A-RUFF, I shall instruct Fh to try to video my dulcet tones!

Sending you happy wags, licks and speedy runarounds xxx

    3. Aha, so you have the best of both worlds --like your muleficient family!. Glad to hear that Murph was well trained by your Great Uncle Indy. He has been very understanding and patient since your tiny puppy days!. Your culinary variety sounds very interesting --apples!.

My sweetheart, I would love to see a sonata video; would you indulge me once?

Be well soon and stay away from those not versed in flying pups ;-)

    1. I was busy thinking about..... FOOD! What every pup needs to know is where dinner is next coming from! I shall do my best to not crash or get in any fights so that I look handsome for my fans, all these bandages and clothes aren't good for my image! x

  8. I always wondered what might be worse then being told to keep an eight month old border collie pup quiet so he could heal. Milo, you just might be the answer you handsome devil.

    1. I think we may have found it! Trying to keep this speedy pup still enough to heal is the devil's own work... he seems to be healing well in spite of that though :-)
