An English Country Garden

Hot, hot, hot!  The sun is shining the birds are tweeting and we Muleteers have been busy with a very English pastime... gardening!

Our version of gardening is.... well eating...  We have been tasting all the lovely morsels and gazing longlingly at those on the other side of the fence.  Care to join us for a wander through our wildlife meadow?

So... How many sweet kinds of flowers grow in an English Country Garden?

We'll tell you now of some we know...... here goes!

Yarrow is tasty and grows everywhere - yum!

Then there's Cat's Ear

That got Catanian's ear.... she likes gardening too.

This is Selfheal.  A plant that used to be taken to soothe sore throats and other such ailments.

I wonder if it soothes itchy feet?

Then there's Red Clover.  Good for the ground but we're not that keen on eating it... pretty though!

Some lovely Red Campion which made The Mini's ears prick up - his favourite to eat!

Then there's Sheep's Sorrel and our favourite grass 'Yorkshire Fog', so pretty when it blows in the breeze and so tasty too!

Dragon heard rumour of the grass and trotted to see where it all was....

Hmmm seems that someone ate it all in here!  Who would that be Dragon??

Then there is the plantain which is starting to look a little tired, it has finished it's busy seeding and thinks it's time for a rest....

Catanian agrees!  Trust Queen Cat to find the shady spot.... all that's missing is someone to fan her with palm leaves and feed her fresh shrimp... hmmmm!

Gosh all that gardening is messy business... time for a bath...

... and a little lie down!

Hope you've had a nice sunny weekend friends, we're exhausted with all that gardening (eating hehe).  Have a good week :-) xxx
