Windswept!

Goodness me this wind is playing havoc with my hairdo!  Over the last 48 hours we've mostly had wind, rain, hail, more wind and more rain…..

This is a view that isn't seen that often, look you can actually see my forehead, it does exist underneath that luxurious forelock, honest!

Speaking of which…. my forelock is definitely misbehaving in this wind, FH says I look a bit like a fraggle, I can't imagine what she means?  There's no resemblance that I can see?

I do quite like his style though, not a bad hairdo!

That's better hair, this is a stylish windswept look, I almost look pristine and free of mud from this perspective, looking handsome hey ladies?

Hmmm just don't look at this view, all looks good from the shoulders forward….

My Mini pal is not impressed with the wind, he doesn't even have to worry too much about bad hair as his 'do' is a little more practical for days like today.  The look says it all, we'd like the 70 mph gusts to end now if you don't mind, it's hard work being a mini in the wind.

One of us is loving it though, Dragon stands resplendent in the paddock asking the weather if that's the best it can do?  That is one self confident muletta….. she gladly took Smiley Human out for a ride this morning in a gale with hale storms and floods all around, and of course she delivered them both safely home having had a lovely time :-)  Definitely a day to be riding a sensible mule we reckon, well done Dragon :-)

Only one thing left to do on this windy day…. get the wind up my tail and go for a little run around!

Hope all of our friends are well, with each day of bad weather we must be getting closer to the Spring, we're sure we saw some green shoots of grass in the rested paddock, oooo Spring grass'll be here before we know it!!

  2. Windswept suits you! And as for having a good mule to take out with you when it is nasty weather, ...only a mule will do!

We are still having frigid temps and winds.
Hope your weather straightens out soon.

    1. So true, only a mule will do when the weather's like this. So sure footed and sensible, it frightens me to watch the mules tear down the steep paddocks but they always stay on their feet, little Roller is far more sensible and zig zags! Our weather is just awful, different but challenging like our friends across the pond have been experiencing. Rain, gale force winds and no end in sight, but we are well and have no need to complain really compared to many. Fingers crossed for Spring to arrive soon for us all.

  6. GH thinks you all look beautiful, and the wind in your hair can be such a lovely feeling. You must ask FH to sing you the song " I just got in from the windy city". I think you'd all enjoy it enormously.
GH has seen beautiful Snowdrops and Daffodils today so MAYBE spring is just around the corner.
Keep on being good for FH.See you all soon.x

    1. Hehe do you know what GH? She came and sang to us and we found it hard to tell the difference between her and Diesel... hmmm nice song though!

We will of course be good, FH is a little on the unwieldy side at the moment so we Muleteers have to make allowances but we are looking after her and my future little rider - so exciting! xxxx

  7. My dear Roller, you are a hairstyle supermodel!. Sweep it right, left of backwards, you carry a most handsome look. I love the long ears hairstyle, too, staying put and tidy in all weather in a mulettissimo fashion :-). Callie, princesa, as always una Mula Valiente y Exploradora!.

Sunny wishes and cuddles a-plenty. Your defrosting and warming earwaves were very welcome!

    1. Ah dearest Carmen, we knew you would appreciate our fashion - mulettissimo indeed, we may have started a craze with the windswept look - stylish and of course practical in these times of gales and downpours! We hope your weather is being kinder? Ours here is terrible with the wettest winter for 250 yrs and 100 mph winds - invigorating for sure. Alas Mother Nature must look kindly on us soon we hope! Snuffles and neighbrays xxx
